Cosplaying opened a whole new world for me and it can for you too!
I began cosplaying at a very low point in my life as an escape route, I really didn’t have many friends who supported me truthfully and since I have started I have dropped a lot of friends who have shown their true colours.
The beginning was tough but I would do it again if I had to. I have since met tons of amazing people with such creative minds and it pushed me to want to share what I have created, whether it be a pattern for your next cosplay or an STL to print your dream weapon!
my best advice
my best advice to start is just to START, your first cosplay does not have to involve any sewing. Starting with what is commonly known as a “closet cosplay” is the best way for a newbie to feel comfortable. Just grab whatever you have in your closet and see what casual character you can dress up as!
The cosplaying community was one of the most welcoming to me, I would like to do my part in welcoming new people as best I can, and the best way for me to do that is to share my creations.
